WHAT IS LADDER'S DISEASE?
Ladder's Disease is a rare neurological condition in which a person's sense of self becomes disconnected from their own body. Those affected report experiencing an entirely different reality — some describe it as waking up as someone else entirely, with new memories, new mannerisms, and no recollection of who they were before.
First described in clinical literature by Dr. E. Ladder, 1958. no physician by this name has ever held a license in the state of Pennsylvania.
Modern researchers believe Ladder's Disease originates in the cervical spine, where interruptions along the body's natural signal pathway can cause the mind to lose its place — like a call dropped mid-connection and picked up by the wrong line.
SYMPTOMS TO WATCH FOR
- Sudden confusion about one's own identity or history
- Referring to oneself by an unfamiliar name
- Memories that feel borrowed, or that belong to someone else
- A persistent feeling of being “rewired”
- Heightened suggestibility or eagerness to follow instruction
- Repeating phrases the patient does not recall learning
- A sensation of watching oneself from outside the body
HOW CIAO CAN HELP
At CIAO, we believe Ladder's Disease is not a malfunction — it is a signal. A body sending word that its network has come loose from its housing. Our practitioners are trained to listen for that signal long before it becomes a crisis.
Through our proprietary treatment, we work to restore the natural pathway between who you are and where that signal lives — gently, patiently, one node at a time.
Ask your CIAO practitioner whether NT™ is right for you.
